Baltimore Select, Inc. is a nonprofit basketball organization currently in its fifteenth year of operation. The primary focus of the organization is to expose student athletes to coaching staffs of colleges and universities by providing them with the opportunity to participate in high-profile tournaments held around the country during the spring and summer months. These tournaments are often attended by hundreds of college coaches as well as representatives from recruiting services. In addition to this group of attendees, these tournaments and camps are a forum for the athletes to demonstrate their talents and skills by competing against some of the best high school players from around the country.

With the talent these students possess, Baltimore Select strives to develop their participants into college graduates. The organization places high importance on having successful and positive influencing volunteers who embody the qualities that we would like our players to possess. These volunteers act as roll models and mentors. According to Dr. David Hamburg, "Many young adolescents are growing up lacking some essential ingredients of healthy emotional and physical development. Youth organizations provide young adolescents with social support, guidance, life skills training and positive constructive alternatives to hazards..."

We are very proud of our accomplishments over the past eleven years. Baltimore Select has helped over 70 athletes obtain college scholarships with more to come from the 2008 class.
