Bowers moves into starting line Up
Former Select standout has moved into the starting line up for the Maryland Terrapins. After sitting on the bench for most of his freshman season, Bowers has hit the weights and gained some muscle as he has proven his abilities in his sophomore season with the Terps. With Hasana Fofana deciding to transfer mid-season, Coach Williams now only has Bowers as his true center. Bowers has worked his way to the starting line-up by playing good defense and rebounding. With his continued success, the terps will look to Bowers to help lead the way.

Galloway shows leadership and toughness in ACC win
Former Baltimore Select standout shows his leadership in a big ACC conference win against the #3 Demon Deacon's from Wake Forest. The Seminoles never gave up the lead but fell short in regulation with a game tying last second three pointer by the Deacons's Taron Downey. He was fouled while making the game tying three point play but missed the free throw which then sent the game into overtime. This is where Todd went off scoring nine straight points in overtime to seal the win for Florida State.

Spruill puts it on the Sabers
Walbrook put the ball in Spruill's hands and let him carry them to a convincing 52-38 win over the home Southwestern Sabres. With Spruill's 20 point, 12 rebound game, Walbrook will probally move up in the rankings and continue to surprise everyone on the city. With upset road wins against Dunbar and Southwestern, they look to be teh team to beat in the city so far in the 2004-2005 school year. With Spruill helping veterans Velmar Coleman and Edward Tyson, Walbrook has a solid foundation along with poised point work by Mark Davis. Watch out for Walbrook they have proven they can win in two of teh most hostile courts in the city, now all they have to do is win at home to carry themselves into the state tourny.
